We are a group of musicians who meet regularly to play because we love music and love being able to express our love for Christ through our instruments. We want to minister to you and allow you the opportunity to minister to others as a part of our family as well as provide an environment to further develop your skills as a musician.
 
musical styles
 
Our Contemporary and Encounter services utilize a basic rock band rhythm section as their basis. Each band consists of a drummer, bass player, one or two guitars, and one or two keyboard players. Latin percussion is sometimes included. These bands provide the nucleus of instrumental support for our services. They accompany vocalists and sometimes expand with orchestral instruments or a small horn section. As the musical style varies from one song to the next, the requirements for participation and the musical abilities needed also vary.
 
talents & abilities
 
We prefer that each player has the ability to read chord charts and/or sheet music at a high school to college level of proficiency and be able to work well within a contemporary rhythm section. He or she must play with solid time and with the appropriate feel for the various contemporary styles used. Guitarists need to be able to create cutting-edge contemporary sounds utilizing the proper effects and be able to adapt to new sounds upon request from the music director.
